Hi everyone.   Sorry but we have been really bad at keeping this blog going.
Been back in NZ is great.  I forgot how more relaxed life is over here and how beautiful it is and I also forgot how much we swear over here.
Anyway to bring you up to speed we ran 35km of the Abel Tasmen track looking out over amazing golden beaches, beautiful day (Renee fell over and skinned both knees) and topped the day of with a awesome fast water taxi home.  To give our legs a rest we spent a great day out paddling around seal colonies and penguins in the tropical water -  ooooh its a good life!!!!  We mountain biked the queen charlotte track 50km, it has some cracking steep hills and a killer last 20km on the bloody road.
Finally got to catch up with the 2 sisters for a week  :)   Loads of drinking, shopping and a family reunion (Poor Bob).  Bob did a 50km Karapoti Mt bike race and kicked butt.
We made it back down south in time for the Motatapu marathon which is off road going from Wanaka to Queenstown. So after dozens of river crossings and a last 10km that never seemed to end - we finished.  Bob 5th and me 3rd lady.  To meke aye!!!!!  I think that will do for a while.  So the next week we just managed to waddle around.
We have done loads of sports climbing in queenstown and had massive storms right down south causing landslips and road blockages  - so we missed out on seeing the fiordlands (The most beautiful place in NZ).

Take care

blitzing the west coast

Hi there we set of ok for about 2 hours made it to springfield and then the van struggled like buggery up porters pass - 1st gear. Thought it was going to start rolling backwards. Any way we think the problem was a bent fuel pipe. So far we have putted on and have managed to stroll around the massive boulders at Castle Hill. Caving in cave stream (more like a river then a stream). A good day walk up the mountains in Arthurs pass + a 2 day walk where we did massive bush bashing and stayed in a hut. The sandflys are driving us nuts and the Keas are really cheeky. Spent a good day at the beach after tucking in to a free huge hungi in Greymouth. Slept outside the most haunted house in the South Island in Blackball, we survived the night to spend the next day Mt biking up to a hut which has a toilet (longdrop) with the best veiw in the world. Gone past pancake rocks which are limestone rocks that have been uniquely formed in to pancake stacks. The coast is rough here. We camped out with some surfers in Westport. There were seals chilling on the rocks with their pups. We are now in Nelson and going to catch up with my Step bro. Bob here; Nelson is ace and if Otley gets burned down I'm moving here! we will post photos later.

lots love Renee Bob

Hi guys.

That was one long flight, I had no ankles and we were both fed up with sleeping sitting up. Mum picked us up and has kept us well fed ever since. Bob's knee is playing up so he cant run at the moment, in desperation he went and got accupuncture. We are still waiting for it to work.

Iv been doing loads of running with mum, even entered in a 5km race doing an ok time of 20min 16sec.

Now, because im a bit of a smarty pants I just wanted to say that it is so beautiful and warm here infact almost too hot sometimes. We had to go for a swim to day to cool down.

Sooooo we have a van that mum wants to call 'pinky' (its green). Have spent a few days kitting it out.
we are now ready to start our NZ tour.

lots love Renee, Bob
